Data and uninstall

The app stores your checkbox settings and published revisions. With Enhanced record keeping, it also stores a separate record each time a customer accepts. Standard record keeping saves consent details to the Shopify cart and order without creating a searchable server record.

Data in Shopify and in the app

Enhanced records do not include names, email addresses, IP addresses, user agents, customer IDs, cart tokens, or order IDs. The order's consent_record_id links Shopify's order details to a searchable record. Read Consent records for what that link can and cannot establish.

Records expire after the retention period selected when each record was created: 30 to 3,650 days, with 365 days as the default. You can request earlier deletion at support@lilya.work.

When you uninstall

Uninstalling stops the checkbox and checkout rule; the app does not edit theme files. The app deletes its shop session immediately. Shopify sends a shop data deletion request about 48 hours later, after which the app removes that shop's settings, published revisions, billing status, and enhanced records. If you reinstall within that window, your settings may still be present.

Consent attributes already copied to Shopify orders remain with those orders under Shopify's own retention controls. Review or remove them in Shopify as appropriate for your store.
