Preview and apply

Select Preview changes after setting the rule and target. This step calculates prospective prices without writing them to Shopify. It reports matched products and variants, how many prices would change, and how many need attention. The table shows each variant's current and proposed price and compare-at value.

Use the Show filter to focus on warnings, such as Needs attention, No strike-through, Above 30-day low, Price 0, No cost, Market fixed price, In another campaign, Over plan limit, and No change. Warning types depend on the selected rule and store data.

Review the warnings

  • No strike-through / Above 30-day low: Check compare-at behavior and price-history requirements. A compare-at value at or below the new price will not create the expected sale display.
  • Price 0: Some calculated prices become zero. Review the rule, affected variants, and rounding.
  • No cost / Not in file: Cost pricing cannot change a variant without cost; CSV import cannot change a SKU that is absent from the file.
  • Market fixed price: A Markets price list may override the base price. Decide whether to include supported fixed prices in the campaign.
  • In another campaign: Active campaigns can hold a variant. End or revert the other campaign before retrying a skipped item.
  • Over plan limit: Only products within your plan's per-campaign limit can change. Review the count or move to a higher plan.
  • Scheduled overlap: A future campaign may target some of the same products. Inspect both campaigns before scheduling.

On large catalogs, preview checks at most the first 5,000 variants and the first 20,000 Markets fixed prices. It flags an incomplete preview. The campaign itself can still process all matching variants within plan limits. The confirmation dialog requires an explicit acknowledgement when the preview is partial. Refresh the preview after changing any input; a stale preview cannot be treated as the current rule.

Apply or save

Enter a recognizable Campaign name. Choose Apply campaign for an immediate start, Schedule campaign if Start later is set, or Save as draft to keep the configuration. Read the confirmation dialog before committing the apply action. A campaign runs as a background job, so the detail page can show Applying for a while. Keep the campaign page available to check the result; you do not need to keep the creation form open.

The app saves the original price values before writing new ones. It may also update product tags, theme data, and supported Markets or B2B fixed prices when you selected those options. Those side effects are included in campaign completion; a failure can leave the campaign Partially applied.
